Hello, fellow pilgrim.
It’s been a busy summer. I got engaged!
A few other highlights:
- I saw my favourite band live
- My fiancée and I went to Big Church Festival (such a great time)
- I turned 30
- I reworked my business to fit around full-time work
- I went to a friend’s wedding
- I did a silent retreat in France
- I hiked with a mate in the Peak District
- I enjoyed some family time
So, this is going to be a slimmed-down edition of the newsletter. But there will be more to come!
I’m so humbled to see some new subscribers joining this journey. It’s great to have you here.
A great addition to your inbox
As I’ve been off galavanting and generally neglecting this newsletter over the summer, Brian Vee has been super regular with his content.
And it is great content. I would highly recommend you check out his newsletter, if you’re interested in the whole faith/design intersection stuff.
He puts out things like this:
‘The same God who spoke galaxies into existence, who painted sunsets long before we held a brush, takes delight when His children bring their offerings of creativity back to Him. Not because they’re flawless, not because they’re groundbreaking, but because they’re acts of faith. What a privilege! That the Creator of all things would allow us to share in His joy.’

Really wonderful. Beautifully designed, too. Check it out.
Something for the journey
This poem, which I’ve been mulling since I first heard it:
‘Nothing is more practical than finding God, than falling in Love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in Love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.’— Father Joseph P. Whelan, my emphasis
Big blessings.
